1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using PerfectDay Weddings ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and PerfectDay Weddings regarding your use of the App and any related services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to use PerfectDay Weddings. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

If you are using the App on behalf of an organisation (such as a wedding planning business), you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these terms.

3. Account and Authentication

PerfectDay Weddings uses anonymous authentication by default. This means you can begin using the App immediately without creating an account or providing personal information.

You may optionally link an email address to your anonymous account to enable features such as cloud synchronisation and account recovery. If you choose to link an email:

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must provide accurate email information
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access

4. Licence Grant

Subject to your compliance with these terms, PerfectDay Weddings grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download, install, and use the App on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial wedding planning purposes.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the App or its content
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels
• Use the App for any commercial purpose without our written consent
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any systems or networks

5. Your Content and Data

You retain full ownership of all content and data you create within PerfectDay Weddings, including but not limited to: guest lists, budget information, vendor details, task lists, schedules, and any other wedding planning information.

Your data is stored locally on your device by default and encrypted using AES-256-GCM encryption. If you enable cloud synchronisation, your data will also be stored on our servers (Firebase Firestore, EU region) to provide backup and multi-device access.

You are solely responsible for:

• The accuracy and legality of the content you enter
• Ensuring you have the right to store personal information about third parties (such as guests)
• Maintaining your own backups of important data
• Any content you share with collaborators or guests

6. RSVP Feature and Guest Access

If you use the RSVP feature to allow guests to respond to your wedding invitation:

• You are responsible for distributing RSVP links only to intended recipients
• You acknowledge that guests accessing RSVP links may see limited event details you have chosen to share
• You must inform your guests that their RSVP responses will be stored and processed

Guests accessing RSVP links agree that:

• They will use the RSVP feature only for its intended purpose
• They will not attempt to access data beyond what is presented to them
• Their response data will be stored and visible to the wedding organiser

We implement rate limiting and abuse prevention measures on RSVP endpoints to protect against misuse.

7. Collaboration Features

PerfectDay Weddings allows you to invite collaborators to help plan your wedding. When using collaboration features:

• Owners have full control over the wedding data and can manage collaborator access
• Editors can view and modify wedding data but cannot delete the wedding or manage access
• Viewers can only view data without making changes

You are responsible for managing who has access to your wedding data and at what permission level. You can revoke access at any time through the App settings.

8. Premium Features and Payments

PerfectDay Weddings offers premium subscription tiers with additional features. Premium subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, and are subject to their respective terms and conditions.

Regarding premium subscriptions:

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your device's app store settings
• Refunds are handled according to Apple or Google's refund policies
• Premium features are available immediately upon successful payment verification
• If you cancel, you retain access to premium features until the end of your billing period

We reserve the right to modify premium features, pricing, or tiers. Existing subscribers will be notified of material changes in advance.

9. Data Loss Disclaimer

Important: While we implement robust security measures and automatic local backups, you acknowledge and agree that:

• No system is completely immune to data loss
• Device loss, damage, or malfunction may result in data loss if cloud sync is not enabled
• You are responsible for enabling cloud synchronisation if you wish to have remote backups
• We strongly recommend maintaining your own independent backups of critical wedding information

PerfectDay Weddings shall not be liable for any data loss resulting from device issues, user error, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

10. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use PerfectDay Weddings to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe upon the rights of others
• Store or transmit malicious code or harmful content
• Attempt to interfere with or disrupt our services or servers
• Collect or harvest information about other users without consent
• Use automated systems to access the App in a manner that exceeds reasonable use
• Impersonate any person or entity

11. Service Availability and Modifications

We strive to maintain consistent availability of PerfectDay Weddings, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

We reserve the right to:

• Modify, update, or discontinue features at any time
• Perform maintenance that may temporarily affect availability
• Limit or restrict access to protect the integrity of our services

Core functionality remains available offline through local storage, regardless of server availability.

12. Termination

You may stop using PerfectDay Weddings at any time by uninstalling the App. If you have cloud sync enabled, you may request deletion of your cloud data through the App settings or by contacting us.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if:

• You violate these Terms of Service
• Your use poses a security risk to us or other users
• Required by law or legal process

Upon termination, your licence to use the App ends. Local data on your device remains under your control.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

PerfectDay Weddings is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

• The App will meet your specific requirements
• The App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• Any errors in the App will be corrected

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PerfectDay Weddings and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data or content
• Loss of profits or revenue
• Business interruption
• Personal injury or property damage

Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for premium features in the twelve months preceding the claim.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PerfectDay Weddings from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the App
• Your violation of these terms
• Your violation of any rights of third parties
• Content you create, store, or share through the App

16. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

17. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of material changes through the App or via email (if provided).

Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you should stop using the App.
